Royals Hall of Famer Frank White has learned plenty over the years about baseball and life. One lasting lesson, he said, came from trailblazing pioneer Jackie Robinson.
“Usually, the one who goes first doesn’t benefit while he’s still alive,” White said. “But (Jackie) got a lot done for a lot of people.”
On Friday, the same day that Robinson’s memory was honored throughout baseball, White, an eight-time Gold Glove winner, received the Jackie Robinson Legacy Award for lifetime
