In all the hullabaloo across the bran-new iMacs proclaimed this morning, it looked like one feature of the older models—Target Display Mode—had fallen by the roadside. But, as it comes out, news of the feature’s death is, well, gently enlarged.
Apple has affirmed to Macworld that the new iMacs can be used as external displays via their Thunderbolt ports. Even so, to do so, you will need a Thunderbolt-equipped Mac, such as one of the early 2011 models of MacBook Pros. Plugging in the
